AKC DNA: Tests will be available at a special discount rate of $20.00. This is normally a $50.00 test. Limit 5 dogs per household. The PWDCA will be covering the remainder of the cost. Please contact Jane Harding at jane@cutwaterpwd.com for the AKC swabs which will be mailed to you directly and you can swab your dogs at home and mail the swabs back to Jane Harding. Alternatively, you can pick them up at the Specialty and swab your dogs on site and return the swabs to Jane Harding. ALL swabs must be in hand or at Jane’s house (41 Gilbert Hill Road, Chester, CT 06412) by September 1st. (the last day of the Specialty). Please note there will be no exceptions to this date.

PENNGEN JDCM & MOS: We can offer JDCM and MOS together for $110.00 and each test individually for $75.00. People should create a submission on PennGen, printout the submission form, putting the phrase “PWDCA 2023 Specialty” in the comments section, and bring the form to the specialty to be submitted with the cheek brush/swabs. If you need swabs for this test, please E-mail jane@cutwaterpwd.com and she will mail you two swabs to be mailed back to her for submission to UPenn. For the samples collected at the specialty, please submit 2 swabs/dog, dried and put in a new paper envelope, which is then sealed and placed in a ziplock bag that also contains the completed and signed submission form, folded so the information on the form is visible from the outside (one Ziplock bag/dog).

We will also honor submissions directly from owner’s homes that are received between August 19, 2023 through September 1st, 2023 with the phrase “PWDCA 2023Specialty” in the comments section of the submission form.
